Hightest Technology Limited is a manufacturer of high-voltage testing and measurement solutions. We specialise in delivering precision equipment to utility companies, EPCs, and industrial clients. As we continue to innovate in the electrical testing sector, we are looking for a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to drive our commercial growth.

The Role

We are seeking a sales professional who thrives on face-to-face interaction. In this role, you will be the face of Hightest Technology, spending a significant portion of your time to visit clients directly to understand their challenges and represent our brand at major industry exhibitions worldwide.

This position requires a strong background in Electrical Engineering; you must be able to bridge the gap between complex technical specifications and commercial success.


Key Responsibilities
  • Extensive Client Visits: proactively visit existing and prospective clients across the UK and key global markets. You will conduct on-site technical assessments and build relationships directly with engineering teams and procurement managers.
  • Trade Shows & Exhibitions: Plan, attend, and manage our presence at international and domestic trade shows. You will be responsible for setting up demonstrations, networking with industry leaders, and generating leads on the exhibition floor.
  • Technical Consultation: Serve as the primary technical advisor during the sales process, recommending specific Hightest devices based on the customer’s electrical infrastructure and testing needs.
  • Product Demonstration: perform live, hands-on demonstrations of our testing equipment at client sites and exhibition booths, showcasing product capabilities to technical audiences.
  • Global Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet aggressive sales targets in both the UK and international territories.
  • The Ideal Candidate

    Essential Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or HND/HNC with equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, ensuring you are comfortable managing a long sales cycle.
  • Willingness to Travel: You must be prepared for extensive travel. This includes overnight stays, international flights, and multi-day exhibitions.
  • Logistics: A full, clean UK driving license and a valid passport with no restrictions on international travel are mandatory.
  • Desirable:

    • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the UK Electricity Supply Industry, including familiarity with National Grid, DNOs, and private network operators.
