We are delighted to be recruiting a Sales & Marketing Manager working directly for our client on their headcount. This role is wonderfully varied and this high energy, fast paced company are launching a product to the UK market this year. The role will lead the sales team (yet to be recruited) and the marketing function, working very closely with internal & external stakeholders.
You will be expected to own, develop and implement the business plan(s) for promoted products whilst being accountable for the overall achievement of sales targets for promoted products. You will be responsible for the management of promotional costs within budget, the management of the sales team (and contract team if applicable); and contribute to the identification and assessment of new products for the product portfolio.
Other duties & responsibilities include but not limited to: -
· Maintain sales forecasts working with the Managing Director
· Maintain budgets for sales and marketing activities
· Regular reporting of sales performance to management
· Provide input to business development (new product) assessments
· Ensure that all sales and marketing activity is carried out compliantly according to the PMCPA code of practice and any other regulations and guidelines relevant to our client's pharma UK's activity
· Act responsibly in accordance with GxP (GDP and pharmacovigilance requirements) for the UK's products
· Represent and uphold high standards of professionalism and integrity at all times
· Support the broader clients UK team with tasks outside of direct area of responsibility
· Training, coaching and development of sales team
· Lead on sales team meetings as required throughout the year
· Ensure sales team have clear account plans to support the growth of promoted products
· Carry out regular one to one reviews and annual appraisals with sales team to support delivery of account plans
· Set and monitor sales incentive scheme with the Managing Director
· Work with the sales team to develop and maintain excellent customer relationships to support the growth of the company's UK's portfolio of promoted products
· Maintain excellent market knowledge including both the customer and competitor environment
· Undertake launch planning for new products
· Develop and implement marketing strategies and tactics to support promotion of products
· Manage suppliers and providers of products and services relating to the sales and marketing function
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a leading a team within the Pharmaceutical Industry, established relationships with key external stakeholders. Someone with previous marketing experience and product launch experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
You will be a forward-thinking, high-energy candidate who has the ability to drive change. You will be a motivational / inspiring leader and have excellent communication skills - communicating messages verbally and via written form. Through your experience you will understand how to identify and develop talent, set clear performance standards, be willing to challenge and be a team worker, with proven relationships internally to deliver partnership working. You will have a positive, can-do attitude, and a willingness to travel periodically.
This role requires you to have a full UK driving licence.
