Salesforce Developer
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer with deep hands-on expertise in OmniStudio and the Salesforce Energy & Utilities (E&U) Cloud. You will design, build, and deliver scalable solutions that drive digital transformation across our customer-facing and back-office operations. Working within a collaborative Salesforce Centre of Excellence, you will translate complex business requirements into robust, well-documented technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
OmniStudio Development
- Design and build OmniStudio components including OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures
- Translate complex, multi-step business processes into intuitive guided workflows using OmniScripts
- Configure and optimise FlexCards for dynamic, real-time data presentation across desktop and mobile channels
- Build and maintain DataRaptors for data extraction, transformation, and loading between Salesforce and external systems
- Develop Integration Procedures to orchestrate multi-system API calls with error handling and conditional logic
Energy & Utilities Cloud
- Implement and configure Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud objects, including Premises, Service Points, Assets, and Meter reads
- Work with Utility-specific data models to support billing, network management, and customer service processes
- Integrate E&U Cloud with external industry systems such as MDM, billing platforms, and field service tools
- Ensure compliance with industry data standards and regulatory requirements within the Salesforce platform
Technical Development
- Write clean, well-tested Apex code (classes, triggers, batch jobs, scheduled jobs) following best practices
- Build Lightning Web Components (LWC) to extend OmniStudio and standard Salesforce UI where required
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to refine technical requirements and produce solution designs
- Estimate effort, flag risks, and contribute to sprint planning within an Agile/Scrum delivery framework
- Produce clear technical documentation including data flow diagrams, solution design documents, and deployment guides
- Support UAT and post-deployment hypercare, resolving defects in a timely manner
Essential Requirements
Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
- 2+ years working with Vlocity / Salesforce OmniStudio (OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures)
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects on Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud
- Strong Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) development skills
- Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits
- Experience with Salesforce DX, version control (Git), and deployment tooling
Certifications (Essential)
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
- Salesforce OmniStudio Developer Certification
Certifications (Desirable)
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
- Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud Accreditation or Consultant certification
- Salesforce Industries CPQ or Communications Cloud experience is a plus
