Do you want to be part of a service that plays an essential role in your community? Are you available to work 8.15 am to 9.15 am and 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday during school term time? Manchester City Council is hiring "lollipop" people to help families safely cross the road on their way to and from school. It is a great way to stay active, meet local people, give back to your community and support Manchester's pledge to be a child friendly city.
- No previous experience necessary
- Full training and uniform will be provided
- Membership of the local government pension scheme
- Paid all year round, including school holidays (Pro-rata)
We are looking for reliable, community minded people to support children and families safely cross busy roads on their way to and from school. You will need to be fit and mobile, have good communication and problem solving skills and be available to work 8.15 am to 9.15 am and 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday during school term time.
