Position summary
Working within our state-of-the-art laboratories at Sandwich, your role will be to design and develop new routes to starting materials, intermediates and APIs (Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients) through considered, data-driven experimental execution in the laboratory.Within a collaborative team environment, you will create safe, robust, scalable and efficient chemical processes to manufacture pharmaceutical API’s. You will also have the opportunity to transfer these chemical processes to scale up facilities and ultimately manufacturing.
Asymchem will invest in your development so that you can:
- Deploy your excellent knowledge of contemporary organic chemistry in the design and demonstration of new synthetic routes to small molecule API candidates.
- Develop robust processes which ensure safe, reproducible and scalable manufacturing in large scale GMP equipment.
- Employ a range of laboratory equipment from mg to multigram scale, in conjunction with a suite of analytical tools, to maximize the generation of knowledge from each experiment.
- Contribute directly in technology transfer activities to the Sandwich plant facility and other sites within the Asymchem network.
Qualifications, skills and experience
- A PhD in chemistry with excellent knowledge of organic chemistry is highly desirable or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with significant experience in the pharmaceutical or a related industry is essential.
- The ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written forms is essential.
