We are recruiting Band 5 Scrub Practitioners (Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner) to join our theatres team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. This is a fixed-term position.
This post is suitable for experienced practitioners or newly qualified staff who are already registered, who are looking to develop their skills within a supportive perioperative team. You will work in the scrub role, assisting the surgical team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the perioperative pathway.

Main duties of the job

You will support patients through recovery, providing reassurance and maintaining dignity and comfort at all times.
You will contribute to maintaining a safe theatre environment, adhering to infection prevention, health and safety, and safeguarding policies. Accurate documentation and effective communication with the multidisciplinary team will be essential to ensure continuity of care.
You will participate in a preceptorship and ongoing development programme, demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop skills across anaesthetics and recovery.
