Description

Salary: Up to £55,000 (Dependent On Experience)

Ready to help shape the future of real-time sports data and betting technology? At SIS, we deliver cutting-edge content and tech solutions to the global betting industry—and we're looking for a passionate Scrum Master to help our teams reach their full potential.

Based in our Milton Keynes office (with hybrid working—3 days onsite), this is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, innovative environment where you’ll play a central role in enabling high-performing Agile teams.

About the Role

As a Scrum Master, you’ll support one or more of our development teams—facilitating Agile practices, removing obstacles, and championing a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, and wider stakeholders to enable predictable, transparent, and high-quality delivery.

This role reports to our Lead Scrum Master and sits at the heart of engineering and product delivery at SIS.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Facilitating core Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Partnering with Product Owners to refine and prioritise backlogs.
  • Identifying and removing impediments to keep teams moving smoothly.
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Encouraging cross-team communication across engineering, product, and operations.
  • Tracking and communicating delivery progress using metrics like velocity and burndown charts.
  • Promoting Agile values and principles across teams and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the wider Agile community at SIS through coaching and recommending best practices.

What Success Looks Like

  • High-performing, engaged development teams.
  • Predictable, transparent delivery outcomes.
  • Demonstrable improvements in Agile ways of working.
  • Strong collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master within software development environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks—Scrum and Kanban in particular.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Understanding of modern engineering practices like CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud‑native delivery.
  • Experience working with Java-based applications and Azure cloud services (nice to have).

  • Our Values – What You Bring to SIS

At SIS, our values shape how we work every day. We’re looking for someone who embodies:

    Inspiring Enthusiasm

    • Positivity, motivation, and a passion for helping teams succeed.

    Better Together

    • Building strong relationships and contributing to a supportive, collaborative workplace.

    Focused Innovation

    • Curiosity, continuous learning, and a drive to improve team and personal performance.

    Trusted Delivery

    • Operating with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to delivering great results.

    Why Join SIS?

    • A collaborative and supportive culture
    • Hybrid work model with a strong community feel
    • Opportunities for growth, learning, and meaningful impact
    • A chance to work in an exciting domain at the intersection of sports, data, and technology

    Ready to Make an Impact?

If you’re passionate about Agile leadership and want to make a real difference in how teams deliver—we’d love to hear from you.
