The role entails catering for activities, events, and special occasions such as World Food Day, Christmas, and Easter. Enjoy a calm working environment while managing your workload, creating delicious meals, and interacting with people outside the kitchen. You will be home every evening in time for dinner and have two days off a week for a balanced work-life experience. Perform tasks like supporting the Head Chef, maintaining food storage procedures, planning and cooking meals, preparing food for conferences and banquets, adhering to food hygiene regulations, and assisting in menu development. Qualifications
Essential
To be successful in this role, you will need to be 18 years or older, have a GCSE or equivalent in English, and City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) in Basic Food Preparation Cooking. Basic Food Hygiene is essential, while Intermediate Food Hygiene is desirable. Previous experience in a similar environment and in delivering a service on mass is required. Candidates should also have menu planning, costing, ordering, stock control, and budget experience.
