As a Security and Compliance Solutions Architect at AWS, you’ll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey.
You’ll manage the overall technical security relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, compliance, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects.
Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS security services and features.
In this role, your creativity will build effective design patterns addressing customer challenges, with the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases.
You will Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences).

Key job responsibilities
- Customers' trusted advisor: collaborate with AWS account, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Amazon Identity and Access Management (IAM), VPCs, Key Management System, CloudHSM, AWS Organizations, Artifact, Web Application Firewall
- Engage with customers to answer security and compliance questions to 1/ unblock the adoption of AWS Security Services, 2/ foster new usage, 3/ encourage using AWS Security Services and 4/ help use AWS partner security solutions.
- Thought leadership : 1/ speak at customer events such as re:Invent or other security gathering, 2/ create reusable content and 3/write blogs.
- Lead or support initiatives such as the adoption of AI in a secured manner by our customers or other security hardening initiatives, reviews, ...

The EMEA Security & Compliance Specialist Solutions Architects help customers achieve business objectives by implementing secure, compliant cloud solutions at scale across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.Key Activities:Customer Engagements (50-70% of time): Handle specialist requests via SpecReq tool (48-hour SLA), conduct 3-6 month Cloud Acceleration Journeys, and facilitate CISO Circles with 10-15 executivesCreate Solutions: Develop workshops, code samples, blog posts, whitepapers, and solutions based on customer patterns. Enable the Field: Train SAs, TAMs, and partners through Maven classes, Re:quip programs, and internal conferencesImprove Platform: Provide customer feedback to service teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military
- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
