Role: Interim Senior Accountant (Inventory & Costing)
Salary: £28 - £34 Per Hour
Location: Northamptonshire - Hybrid working, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Senior Accountant to join a busy finance team on a 6 to 9 month temporary basis to cover a leave of absence. This is a hands-on role within a logistics and operations environment, suited to someone confident in inventory and costing accounting who enjoys working with detailed financial data and improving processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, record and report accounting transactions accurately and on time
- Prepare general ledger entries and complete account reconciliations
- Produce balance sheet, profit and loss and consolidated financial statements
- Perform detailed variance analysis and investigate unusual movements
- Lead month end close activities and support reporting deadlines
- Respond to queries from management, auditors and internal stakeholders
- Review and strengthen internal controls in line with financial regulations
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified or part qualified accountant
- Strong grounding in accounting fundamentals
- Proven experience supporting or leading month end close
- Solid experience in inventory accounting and costing
- Experience completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to investigate variances
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP
- Ability to interpret financial regulations and ensure compliance
- Experience working within a logistics, manufacturing or operational environment
