The Team
Clyde & Co's London Employment team provides support to clients on all aspects of employment law including: litigation relating to discrimination, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, unlawful deduction of wages and other claims in the employment tribunal and relating to breach of contract and business protection claims in the High Court; advising corporate clients on all day to day people related issues including preparing contracts and policies, disciplinary, grievance and capability issues, large scale restructuring projects and service provision changes involving TUPE; advising businesses and individuals on the employment aspects of corporate transactions; and cross border work involving sourcing and coordinating international advice from around the globe and cross border transactions.

The Role
We are seeking a collaborative and commercially minded Senior Associate to join our Employment team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing and supportive group, advising on a broad range of complex and high-value employment matters across multiple jurisdictions.
The role offers a diverse workload, with a strong emphasis on high-quality advisory work for multinational clients, alongside involvement in Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation. You will also play a key role in supporting corporate transactions and leading on employment aspects of strategic projects. The successful candidate will bring a confident and pragmatic approach to client service, along with a strong interest in cross-border employment issues.

Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience advising on the full spectrum of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious
Strong track record managing Employment Tribunal litigation from inception to conclusion, including complex multi-day hearings
Demonstrated ability to deliver pragmatic, business-focused advice to clients across a range of sectors, often under tight deadlines
Experience supporting corporate teams on employment aspects of M&A, TUPE transfers, outsourcing, and restructures
Confident in managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on strategic employment issues, including senior exits and workforce change
Skilled in drafting and negotiating employment documentation, including contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance issues relevant to employment in regulated sectors (e.g. insurance, healthcare, or energy)
Comfortable supervising junior team members, contributing to their development, and reviewing their work for quality and accuracy
Commercial mindset with a willingness to engage in business development activities and contribute to the growth of the practice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a clear, concise, and client-friendly style
