FDM is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Foreign Exchange (FX) to support strategic, regulatory and technology-driven change across our global financial services client. This is initially a 12 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.
The ideal candidate will possess strong product knowledge across FX Swaps, Futures and Options, experience with risk platforms such as Quartz, and the ability to operate across trading, risk, payments and analytics functions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end business analysis for FX-related initiatives, ensuring requirements align with trading, risk and operational needs.
- Document business, functional and non-functional requirements; produce process maps, workflows and user stories
- Facilitate workshops with front-office, risk, operations and technology stakeholders.
- Serve as SME for FX Swaps, Futures and Options, supporting pricing, lifecycle events and risk factors.
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance and integrate risk systems (e.g., Quartz).
About You
- Deep understanding of FX products including Swaps, Futures and Options.
- Experience working with risk platforms (Quartz highly desirable).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting (SQL, Python or BI tools advantageous).
- Experience documenting detailed BRDs, FRDs, process flows and user stories.
- Excellent stakeholder management across front-office, risk, operations and technology.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Payments and settlements experience beneficial.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years as a Business Analyst within FX, trading or financial markets environments.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications in business analysis, finance or technology beneficial.
