We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Transformation Business Analyst to play a key leadership role in the end-to-end delivery of an ERP system within a Financial Institution. This position will work at the intersection of Business and IT, eliciting requirements and user stories, recommending solutions, and driving system enhancements that improve business performance while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will take a leadership role across the full ERP lifecycle, including decomposing as-is data elements used in financial reporting and collaborating with technical data modellers to construct robust target data models. You will prepare for and lead participation in the Discovery phase with the ERP vendor, translating Business Requirements and Target Operating Model (TOM) principles into implementable functional designs. A core part of the role will involve requirements engineering — eliciting, analysing and validating stakeholder, business and solution requirements (both functional and non-functional), documenting these as user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and ensuring both vertical and horizontal traceability.
You will also be responsible for business case creation, feasibility studies and solution evaluation, including risk and impact assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to support investment decisions. The role requires strong strategic analysis skills, including assessing internal and external drivers, implementation strategies, and identifying risks and impacts associated with the desired transformation approach. You will document both AS-IS and TO-BE process states across relevant business domains and monitor and manage your own BA deliverables alongside wider project deliverables, escalating risks and issues where appropriate.
In addition, you will support change delivery by identifying impacts across business processes, IT systems and organisational structures, and contribute to business readiness activities including communications and training coordination. As an active participant in the Bank’s BA practice, you will operate in line with the Bank’s Risk Management framework and associated compliance policies, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong core Business Analysis skill set combined with proven experience in financial transformation initiatives and excellent finance domain knowledge. You will demonstrate effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate confidently across varying levels of seniority. An analytical approach is essential, with experience in problem-solving techniques such as data analysis, management information review and root-cause analysis. You should be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a wider team, with practical experience of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Experience modelling business processes using BPMN or similar standards is required, along with proficiency in BA tools such as JIRA, Confluence and MS Visio. Experience within the Financial Services sector is desirable, and any experience working with Salesforce would be highly beneficial.
If you are a strategic, delivery-focused Business Analyst who thrives in complex, regulated environments and enjoys shaping large-scale finance transformation programmes, we would be delighted to hear from you.
