Senior Business Development Executive

What we are looking for:

We require a self-motivated person who can engage and influence key stakeholders, as well as having excellent project management skills. Though focused on the London Transport group, this role will work closely with partners and business development colleagues globally on a regular basis.


What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting London-based fee earners in the execution of the Aviation and Maritime sector strategies.
  • Assisting in drafting and implementing targeted business development plans for individuals and teams within the Transport sector.
  • Coordinating and implementing campaigns designed to generate new opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
  • Working alongside the pitch team to prepare compelling proposals and panel pitches, including developing pitch strategies and document management.
  • Supporting fee earners on BD trips and conferences, ensuring activities align with sector priorities and ensuring return on investment.
  • Planning and coordinating events, in conjunction with the events team, which enhance market presence and support client development.
  • Taking ownership of submissions for legal directories, league tables and awards which showcase the firm’s expertise and strengthen its reputation.
  • Liaising with team members across the global Business Development and Communications team, as well as other Business Functions (e.g. HR, Finance, etc.), to improve the coordination and delivery of initiatives across the firm.
  • Developing, championing and implementing business development projects and systems as appropriate.

  • Skills & qualifications:

    • Several years' business development experience within a professional services environment.
    • Confidence to influence and engage key stakeholders across the business.
    • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects.
    • Experience in creating high quality pitches and proposals.
    • Excellent written communication and editing skills.
