Functions
ESSENTIAL
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual frameworks, and applicable regulatory requirements, while acting as a trusted commercial partner to internal stakeholders across operations, engineering, and finance
- Demonstrates strong business acumen with the ability to understand market dynamics, anticipate industry trends, and translate strategic objectives into actionable plans
- Involvement in supply chain strategy and approach, aiding towards global goals & objectives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to access and interpret commodity market data (e.g., London Metal Exchange) for demand planning, supplier negotiations, and production scheduling
- Deliver aggressive year on year savings targets against project budgets in line with procedures and KPI’s
- Preparation for bid work
- Develop, lead and manage the procurement process for project specific raw materials and procurement of raw material safety stock
Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.

REQUIRED
- Typically holds degree and/or certification in area of specialty
- Experience in a buyer/senior buyer role (demonstrable experience within a manufacturing company)
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required
- Office-based role; candidates must be able to work onsite during standard business hours
- CIPS qualification achieved
