Description

Oliver James are partnering with a leading insurer to appoint a Senior Actuarial Manager within their Capital team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a qualified actuary with strong Solvency II expertise to take ownership of the capital management framework, lead key capital initiatives, and provide strategic insight to senior stakeholders and governance committees.

You will play a key role within the Actuarial Function, supporting the development and oversight of the capital management framework and contributing to the organisation's broader capital strategy. This role offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders and governance forums, with the opportunity to influence key decisions across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

* Supporting the oversight and development of the capital management framework and recovery planning.
* Contributing to the ongoing development and maintenance of Solvency II Internal Model methodologies and assumptions.
* Leading and supporting capital initiatives, including model reviews and regulatory developments.
* Producing clear, high-quality analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
* Building strong collaborative relationships across actuarial, risk and finance teams.
* Supporting the development of junior actuarial team members where required.

This role would suit a qualified actuary with strong Solvency II expertise who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, is proactive in their approach, and is comfortable adapting to evolving regulatory and business requirements.
