Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking experienced and motivated Senior Clinical Fellows to join our Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop senior-level clinical skills in acute and frailty medicine within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
The AMU has recently undergone significant investment to improve patient flow and care quality. This is an ideal post for clinicians looking to take on greater responsibility, contribute to service development, and engage in teaching and leadership.
Lead and support the acute medical take, supervising resident doctors and managing initial patient care.
Rotate through the Acute Medical Unit, Acute Admissions Unit, Acute Frailty Unit, and Frailty Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC).
Participate in consultant-led ward rounds, patient reviews, hot clinics and discharge planning.
Provide senior clinical input in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.
Contribute to teaching, supervision, and mentorship of junior medical staff.
Lead or participate in quality improvement, audit, and service development initiatives.
Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team.
