At LGT we are currently seeking a highly motivated, resourceful clinical pharmacist to join our energetic and well-motivated team. Interested candidates will have a breadth of clinical experience at Band 6 or 7 level having provided clinical services to a variety of wards and clinical areas. Under the guidance and support of the lead clinical pharmacists, you will be introduced to core directorate activities of reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance and risk management. You will be responsible for co-developing and improving pharmacy services whilst also providing professional cover and training to junior and trainee pharmacists. Main duties of the job

Applicants must be currently registered with the GPhC as a pharmacist and have completed or be close to completion of a clinical postgraduate diploma. At LGT, our fully integrated electronic prescribing system in addition to unique in-house systems aim to help you to deliver excellent clinical care to your patients. To further enhance our clinical pharmacy service, we aim to support patients to get the most from their medicines, reduce medication safety risks, and develop the medicines optimisation skills of the wider clinical team. Duties and Responsibilities : Clinical Practice 6.1.1 To provide and develop clinical pharmacy services to the named directorate to promotesafe, clinically effective and cost effective prescribing and use of medicines.6.1.2 To ensure the quality of patient care.6.1.3 To deputise for the Lead Pharmacist(s) in their absence.6.1.4 To support the ward based technicians in developing methods of improving medicines management to the directorates.6.1.5 To assist with the production / updating of local clinical guidelines relevant to the directorate.6.1.6 To participate in clinical and departmental audits, measure adherence to local and national guidelines and provide feedback to staff. Qualifications & Training
B. Pharm / M. Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy) or equivalent Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Postgraduate Diploma in either Clinical Pharmacy or General Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate the intention to complete within 12 months of being in post Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice. Post-Graduate Qualification in Independent Prescribing Experience
A minimum of 2 years post registration experience in hospital pharmacy Demonstrate experience in clinical pharmacy practice - range of specialities Supervision and training of others Examples of clinical audit and literature evaluations A minimum of 3 years post registration experience in hospital pharmacy Previous experience delivering formal education and training sessions Development of evidence based guidelines. Previous experience screening and managing high cost drug prescriptions Knowledge & Skill
Good communication skills, both written and oral, of specialist clinical information. Self-motivated and ability to motivate others.
