At LGT we are currently seeking a highly motivated, resourceful clinical pharmacist to join our energetic and well-motivated team. Interested candidates will have a breadth of clinical experience at Band 6 or 7 level having provided clinical services to a variety of wards and clinical areas.
Under the guidance and support of the lead clinical pharmacists, you will be introduced to core directorate activities of reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance and risk management. You will be responsible for co-developing and improving pharmacy services whilst also providing professional cover and training to junior and trainee pharmacists.
Furthermore, the role will provide you with the opportunity to be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team where you can provide support for service development through projects, audits and education. Ongoing learning from specialists and senior pharmacists will offer an abundance of opportunities to improve your knowledge allowing you to attain the required skills for your personal development.
Applicants must be currently registered with the GPhC as a pharmacist and have completed or be close to completion of a clinical postgraduate diploma.
At LGT, our fully integrated electronic prescribing system in addition to unique in-house systems aim to help you to deliver excellent clinical care to your patients. To further enhance our clinical pharmacy service, we aim to support patients to get the most from their medicines, reduce medication safety risks, and develop the medicines optimisation skills of the wider clinical team. This post will include a strong focus on delivering near-patient care, and ensuring the safe transition of care with respect to medicines at the points of admission and discharge.
