We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Support workers to join our dynamic and friendly teams and provide safe and supportive care to patients, relatives and their loved ones. In this post you would be responsible for providing fundamental elements of patient care as directed by the qualified nursing team to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of dignified and respectful care, in accordance with their care plans. We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.
The successful applicants will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital . As provision of care is in an outpatient setting, you will be required to 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)

As a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker you may be required to carry out and perform a range of clinical based skills in conjunction with the above key areas/tasks. This will be supported by completion of a robust UHNM competency package. Skills include:
- Venepuncture
- Taking clinical observations
- Glucose Monitoring
- Pregnancy Testing
- Urine Analysis
- Taking Fecal Samples
- Carry out 12 lead ECG
- Observing patients for signs of agitation or distress
- Wound Observation
- Simple Wound Dressing
- Removal of Peripheral Cannula
- Take Swabs
- Support and Assist New Staff- Buddy System/Care Certificate Supervisor
