As a Senior Communications Advisor within the Corporate Group Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC), you shape and deliver internal and external communications that move our organisation forward. You combine strategic advice with hands-on execution.
You work on a broad range of communication topics, partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation. At the same time, you contribute to the continued development of our communications approach, helping us bring even more structure, focus and scalability to the way we work.
A key part of your role is shaping how we communicate about AI and digital developments, both internally and externally, ensuring a clear and consistent narrative. At the same time, you explore and apply AI and digital tools to strengthen how the Corporate Communications team creates content and delivers impact, embedding them in our day-to-day ways of working and supporting the team in their practical adoption.
What you will do as Senior Communications Advisor
Communications advice and delivery
You advise on and deliver communication for both internal and external audiences.
Develop and execute communication plans, assets and internal events
Translate complex topics into clear narratives and practical communication approaches
Partner with senior stakeholders on key messages and approach
Ensure communications contribute to a clear, consistent and credible reputation of Haskoning.
Digital maturity and AI adoption
Shape and support clear, consistent communication about AI and digital developments, both internally and externally, helping to drive understanding and adoption across the organisation
Apply AI to improve content creation, workflows and consistency by the communications team and the wider organisation
Help the team move from experimentation to effective, day-to-day use of AI
Identify opportunities where digital technology can simplify or strengthen how we work
Collaboration and stakeholder management
You work closely with the Manager Corporate Communications, the Director BMC, the Executive Board and other senior stakeholders
Act as a trusted sparring partner at both strategic and tactical level
Safeguard alignment and priorities across projects and topics
Hands-on execution
Alongside advising, you ensure communication is delivered effectively.
Ensure plans are translated into clear, high-quality output
Write and edit communications yourself (Dutch and English)
Develop assets together with internal and external specialists

As our new Senior Communications Advisor , you’ll join the 13-person-strong Corporate Communications Team within our Corporate Group Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC). The team is responsible for strengthening our reputation, clearly communicating our strategy and leadership, and keeping colleagues engaged and well-informed through internal communications, media relations and corporate events.
You are either based in the Netherlands and will work from our office in Amersfoort and/or Delft 2-3 days a week, or in the UK and will work from our Peterborough office 2-3 days a week and travel to the Netherlands once a month.
What you bring
You’re a strong, confident advisor who brings clarity and structure, while also rolling up your sleeves to get things done. You’re comfortable operating at senior level, pragmatic in your approach, and focused on results.
7–10+ years of experience in corporate communications
Experience with both internal and external communications
Proven stakeholder management experience at senior management level
Excellent writing and speaking skills in Dutch and English
Experience working in a project-based way and structuring complex challenges
Experience with applying AI in communications and ways of working
Experience working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders and cultures
