Key Responsibilities

  • Client-side project delivery, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Engage with stakeholders to capture and define User Requirements, User Journeys, and User Experience.
  • Specify technical requirements and specifications.
  • Manage client relationships and coordinate day‑to‑day delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Coach and support junior consultants and contribute to team capability building.
  • Support proposals, bids, and wider business development activity.

  • Beneficial Skills

    • Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering ICT projects, including the development of plans, risk assessment, estimation of cost and resource requirements and agreement of these plans both internally and externally
    • Experience and knowledge of radio-based communications technologies such as GSM, TETRA, 3G, 4G, 5G, Private-5G, Wi-Fi calling.
    • Good understanding of Mission Critical Communications (MCx)
    • Understanding of data networking, critical national infrastructure, and security.
    • Consulting and/or client-side pre-sales experience.
    • Understanding of data networking, critical national infrastructure, and security.


    Core Skills

    • Good understanding of the technical solutions used in Emergency Service control rooms, such as ICCS, mobile data and the Airwave network
    • Knowledge of the Command & Control, Communications and mobilising systems operated by the 3ES
  • Have an appreciation of test (verification and validation) approaches and techniques employed in the delivery of mission critical solutions.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships in a complex multi-stakeholder environment and demonstrable experience of delivering ICT projects successfully in such environments
  • Experience of contributing to the development of successful business cases
  • Experience of working under an agile delivery programme, having an appreciation of process, tools, and techniques necessary to co-ordinate and deliver projects in programme environment.
