Connect to your opportunity
As a Manager/Senior Consultant in Sustainable and Resilient Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of digital transformation, with a particular focus on sustainable product development, circular business models and responsible product lifecycles. You will work closely with clients across a range of industries, supporting them to leverage their investments in leading PLM software solutions and related technologies to deliver innovative, sustainable business solutions.
Working with collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams of Deloitte practitioners, you will play a key role across all phases of the project lifecycle, from helping to shape client opportunities, to leading critical aspects of delivery.
Our clients span a range of industries, including:
Consumer Business
Energy and Utilities
Healthcare and Life Sciences
Telecoms, Media & Technology
As a Senior Consultant - Manager in Sustainable and Resilient PLM, you will be responsible for:
Leading end-to-end solution architecture for sustainable & resilient PLM programmes, translating client strategy into actionable roadmaps, target-state architectures, and phased delivery plans across design and implementation workstreams.
Designing and engineering scalable PLM data architectures (e.g., integrating product master, BoM, supplier/product attributes, digital thread) establishing data models, ensuring data lineage, defining integration patterns and governance to enable sustainability and resilience analytics at speed and scale.
Architecting and implementing interoperable integrations across the product ecosystem (PLM–ERP–MES–EAM– SCM–Sourcing–ESG platforms), defining APIs/events, mapping, orchestration and controls to enable traceability, auditability and operational resilience.
Building data/AI-enabled capabilities for sustainable product decisions, such as product footprint allocation, materials intelligence, circularity insights, risk sensing, supplier/product compliance checks, and scenario modelling —ensuring robust data collection, preparation, quality and visualization approaches.
Defining and embedding “ethical tech” and responsible data controls across PLM solutions (security, privacy, model risk, access controls, quality gates), and set the tone for integrity, compliance and risk management within delivery teams.
Running delivery excellence for one or more engagements, including governance, scope and expectation management, dependency and risk tracking, resource planning, and quality assurance—driving high-quality outcomes and strong engagement economics.
Leading functional-to-technical translation with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops to clarify requirements, resolve trade-offs, and develop compelling narratives that communicate value, architecture decisions and implementation progress.
Contributing to high-performing, diverse teams, providing hands-on technical leadership, code/solution reviews (where applicable), continuous feedback, and structured upskilling in PLM architecture, data engineering and sustainability/resilience use-cases.
Shaping and delivering innovative PLM offerings using leading practices and disruptive trends, challenging legacy approaches and leveraging Deloitte assets/methodologies to improve product lifecycle efficiency, resilience and sustainability performance.
Contributing to sales and eminence by identifying opportunities in existing accounts, supporting proposals and solutioning, developing reusable accelerators/collateral, and building a credible external profile in sustainable/resilient PLM and data/AI-enabled engineering.

Technical requirements
Candidates should demonstrate the following core experience and technical capability:
Strong hands on experience with enterprise PLM platforms commonly used in the UK market, such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault, PTC or SAP PLM, with evidence of configuration, extension and/or custom development rather than functional use alone.
Proven PLM solution architecture experience, including target-state design, logical and physical architecture definition, non-functional requirements, and alignment with wider enterprise architecture.
Deep understanding of PLM data models and the digital thread, including product structures, EBOM/MBOM, change, configuration, compliance attributes and lifecycle states.
Experience designing and implementing integrations between PLM and adjacent systems (e.g. ERP, MES, EAM, SCM, sourcing or ESG platforms), using APIs, event-driven patterns, middleware or iPaaS technologies.
Strong data engineering and data architecture background, including data ingestion, transformation, lineage, quality controls and governance to support analytics, traceability and reporting.
Experience applying data and AI techniques within product or engineering domains, such as analytics, optimisation, scenario modelling or decision intelligence applied to products, materials or supply networks.
Demonstrated delivery experience across design and implementation phases, including build, test, deployment and transition into live service within complex enterprise environments.
Experience working within regulated or risk-sensitive environments, with an understanding of data security, privacy, auditability and resilience expectations.
Client-facing consulting experience, operating effectively at Senior Consultant or Manager level with the ability to translate between business, engineering and technology stakeholders.
Professional working proficiency in the English language.
Ability to travel internationally and stay away from home for up to 5 days each week for specific durations, based on programme needs.
The following may be advantageous:
Exposure to sustainability, circularity, product compliance or supply chain resilience use cases, particularly were enabled through PLM, data platforms or analytics.
Awareness of sustainable product technologies such as LCA and/or PCF solutions.
Experience leading small technical teams, including coaching engineers and architects, reviewing designs or code, and fostering high-quality delivery standards.
Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to operate in ambiguous environments and design pragmatic, scalable solutions rather than over-engineered ones.
Comfortable facilitating workshops and design sessions, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Curiosity around emerging technologies, including AI-enabled engineering, digital twins, or new approaches to product data and lifecycle intelligence.
Commercial and delivery awareness, including an understanding of how architecture and design decisions impact delivery risk, cost and long-term maintainability.
Collaborative, inclusive leadership style, and capable of working effectively across disciplines, geographies and cultures.
