We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a global specialty insurance organisation working on enterprise data platforms supporting underwriting, actuarial, claims and finance teams across multiple regions.
This role will play a key part in building and optimising modern cloud data platforms that power critical analytics across the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain enterprise-scale data pipelines and curated datasets
• Design scalable lakehouse and warehouse architectures
• Optimise performance across SQL Server, Azure SQL and Databricks
• Implement high-availability data platforms and disaster recovery frameworks
• Deliver governed datasets supporting underwriting and portfolio analytics
• Collaborate with data architects, platform teams and business stakeholders.
Key Requirements
• Strong Azure Data Engineering experience (ADF, Synapse, Databricks)
• Deep expertise in SQL Server / Azure SQL performance optimisation
• Insurance or Lloyd’s insurance experience is essential
