Senior Development Underwriter/Broker Relationship Manager (Hybrid)

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Development Underwriter/Broker Relationship Manager, you will lead Zurich’s growth agenda by combining underwriting leadership with proactive broker development. You will be responsible for originating, negotiating, and underwriting midmarket risks while driving strategic broker engagement, panel development, and market influence.

This highly visible role is designed to strengthen our market position, accelerate new business, and deliver a first-class experience to our broker partners.

Strategic Broker & Market Development

• Develop, manage, and grow strong relationships across a defined broker panel, engaging strategically with senior brokers, clients, and key industry stakeholders to enhance Zurich’s market presence.

Proven success in managing, developing, and growing high value broker relationships, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build rapport at senior levels.

Strong commercial and strategic mind set, with a track record of identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities and supporting sustainable portfolio growth.

Confident communicator, skilled in delivering presentations, sales & product training, and clear underwriting rationale to brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Excellent planning, organisation, and time management abilities, capable of prioritising effectively in a fast -p aced environment and balancing underwriting and relationship development responsibilities.

Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.

DIP CII qualification (or working towards it) preferred.
