Job Description

Global Application Deployment Platform (Windows Based)

AeroCloud: Revolutionizing Airport Operations

AeroCloud is the new-age operating system for airports aiming to grow. Our suite includes Airport Operating Systems (AOS), Passenger Processing Systems (PPS), and Passenger Flow Management solutions, empowering airports to gain deep insights into the movement of passengers and aircraft around the world.

We achieve this by becoming the airport’s first call for technology. Whether in times of need or growth, we stand alongside our clients, offering support through innovative software that drives their success.

We build software that runs live airport operations around the world. Our CUPPS, CUSS

and CLA applications are used by airline and airport staff to check in passengers, print bag

tags, and board flights. These applications run on Windows machines, but the hard

problem here is application deployment at a global scale, not Windows patching.

We’re looking for a senior DevOps engineer to design and build a world-class

application deployment platform for this estate — one that lets us deploy continuously,

version and control rollouts by location, and operate safely across thousands of machines

in live airport environments.

This role is about how applications are packaged, versioned, rolled out, validated,

monitored, and rolled back at scale — with Windows as the runtime, not the centre of

gravity.

Our Commitment to Excellence

At AeroCloud, being the airport’s first call means exceeding expectations at every customer interaction. This is not just a goal; it’s our standard. We prioritize detail, diligence, and a proactive approach in everything we do. If there’s a task to be completed, we see it through. If a customer needs an answer we don’t yet have, we respond promptly to let them know we’re on it. We believe in keeping our team informed, being transparent, and maintaining accountability at every step.

Job Requirements

What you’ll work on

You will design and own a new global system for deploying and operating our airport

applications.

That Includes

Designing an application-first deployment platform for thousands of globally

distributed machines

Supporting continuous delivery from our side, while allowing airports and airlines to

adopt new versions on their own schedules

Application versioning by site, tenant, and location, with strong visibility into what is

running where

Incremental and zero-downtime deployments suitable for live airport operations

Safe rollout strategies (canarying, staged releases, validation gates) and fast, reliable

rollback

Monitoring and reporting that focuses on application health, not just machine health

Operating across multiple Azure tenants today, with the freedom to recommend AWS

or hybrid approaches where they are a better fit

Designing how application configuration, identity, and policy should work at scale (we

currently use AD and Group Policy, but this is explicitly open for redesign)

Supporting multi-site and occasionally disconnected environments, with small onsite

infrastructure at airports

You will design this end-to-end, then build it.

Job Responsibilities

What this role expects in practice

This is a senior, hands-on role with full ownership.

You Will

Act as design authority for how our applications are deployed and operated globally

Make pragmatic architectural decisions, document them, and stand behind them

Treat deployment pipelines, rollout tooling, and automation as first-class products

Build strong automation around deployment, validation, auditing, and reporting

Think in terms of application lifecycle, blast radius, and recovery — not just

infrastructure

Work closely with product and engineering teams, but operate as an independent

technical owner

There is no on-call, and this is not a security or SRE role. The focus is application

delivery, versioning, and operational correctness at scale.

The kind of experience that fits this role

We’re optimising for people who have done this for real.

You’ll Likely Have

Experience deploying applications to thousands of machines globally

Designed or rebuilt large-scale application deployment systems
, not just CI

pipelines

Strong experience with Windows-hosted applications (Windows 10/11, Windows

Server, or similar)

Delivered zero- or near-zero-downtime application rollouts in operationally sensitive

environments

Deep automation and CI/CD experience, with clear opinions backed by experience

Worked across multiple cloud tenants or regions, at growing scale

A history of choosing tools based on outcomes, not ideology

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Best-in-Class Share Options scheme
  • Flexible working environment
  • 25 days annual leave + statutory holidays
