Candidates must have proven experience designing, building, and scaling a Red Hat Automation Platform from the ground up. Strong Red Hat expertise is mandatory.
Overview
We are supporting a leading EU based financial technology organisation seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the build-out and implementation of a Red Hat Automation Platform. This is a hands-on contract role focused on designing and delivering scalable automation capabilities across infrastructure and development environments.
The successful consultant will play a key role in establishing automation standards, improving operational efficiency, and enabling platform scalability using Red Hat technologies, with Ansible
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy the Red Hat Automation Platform across enterprise environments.
- Develop and maintain automation workflows using Ansible and related tooling.
- Establish reusable automation frameworks to improve infrastructure provisioning and operational consistency.
- Define best practices around automation governance, security, and scalability.
- Support the migration from manual processes to fully automated platform operations.
- Provide technical leadership during implementation, including architecture decisions and hands-on delivery.
Required Experience
- Strong experience building and scaling Red Hat-based platforms in enterprise environments.
- Proven hands-on expertise with Ansible automation (playbooks, roles, automation workflows).
- Background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Automation roles.
- Deep Linux systems knowledge and experience working in highly regulated environments.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD tooling exposure.
- Financial services or enterprise-scale delivery environments.
- Ability to work closely with distributed engineering teams across Europe.
