About The Role
Lead the development of defined technical areas or subsystems within a programme, providing technical expertise and mentoring to junior engineers.
What you will do
- Own delivery of significant work packages or subsystems within a project.
- Develop and validate engineering designs, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Mentor and support Engineers within the team.
- Lead problem-solving and root-cause investigations.
- Interface with other disciplines to ensure design integration and coherence.
- Provide input to project planning, scheduling, and risk management.
- Develop schematics as well as system, network and harness drawings and IO documents
- Function development for control systems
- Create manufacturing packs and test procedures; support factory/site acceptance tests.
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) engineer with adequate experience.
- Proven experience in system or component-level design.
- Experience in CAN and Ethernet communication and related tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of configuration, safety, and quality systems.
- Experience in leading small teams or technical tasks.
