About The Role

Senior Engineer - Structures.

Your Role

As a Senior Engineer, you guide a small team of technicians and handle technical aspects of our product and project designs. You ensure our temporary roofing systems and products meet technical and compliance standards. Your actions directly impact the success of projects both in the United Kingdom and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor a team of technicians to support collaboration and high-quality results.
  • Design, analyse, and verify products and project installations to ensure technical and safety standards.
  • Deliver technical advice to internal teams and external customers including suppliers and clients.
  • Lead the development of new products and ensure alignment with industry standards and client needs.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with British and international standards and regulations.
  • Communicate directly with suppliers and external consultants to support product innovation.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and site visits in the United Kingdom and abroad to represent DESSA and support projects.

Key Requirements:

  • Professional recognition as a Chartered Engineer or equivalent with an engineering institution.
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, structural analysis software, and standard office applications.
  • Understanding of construction, scaffolding, temporary works, and related sectors.
  • Experience leading a team and managing project delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to build client and supplier relationships.
