This is a highly visible role partnering with senior stakeholders across Technology, Change / Transformation and Finance. You will provide deep insight into project spend, investment decisions and cost performance while acting as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger to business leaders.

The role sits at the heart of a significant investment portfolio, supporting multi-million-pound budgets and complex change programmes across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead financial planning and forecasting for major Technology and Change programmes, consolidating project costs, benefits and long-term impacts.
  • Provide clear financial insight and commentary on monthly performance, forecasts and strategic investments.
  • Partner closely with senior leaders and directors, acting as a critical friend to challenge assumptions and support strong decision-making.
  • Oversee large investment portfolios, managing budgets across multiple projects and programmes.
  • Deliver variance analysis and performance insight, identifying key drivers of cost movements and risks.
  • Support the development of robust business cases and investment proposals, ensuring financial clarity and value delivery.
  • Collaborate with Finance Controllership to ensure robust and auditable financial processes, including month-end reviews and capex accounting.
  • Work alongside Technology and Change teams to identify EBITDA improvement opportunities and cost efficiencies.
  • Produce high-quality reporting and analysis for senior leadership, Board and ExCo audiences.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Proven Finance Business Partnering experience within Technology, Transformation or Change environments.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth or complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large budgets and multi-project investment portfolios.
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior leadership and challenge constructively.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear commercial insight.
  • Excellent financial modelling, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation and analytical capability.

  • Why Join Markerstudy?

    • Work on large-scale transformation and technology investment programmes.
    • Partner directly with senior executives and strategic leadership teams.
    • Join one of the fastest-growing insurance groups in the UK.
    • Play a key role in shaping investment decisions, financial performance and long-term strategy.
