The Role
- Reporting to the Simulator Engineering Manager, the Senior Sim Engineer is a key position in EMT’s Engineering team and will be responsible for ensuring defects are resolved in a timely manner and leading junior engineers. This includes:
- Ensuring all Simulators are maintained to the highest industry standards to achieve as close to 100% quality and availability.
- Ensuring scheduled maintenance, defects rectification and modifications are performed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Identifying spares requirement and working with the Simulator Engineering Manager to ensure stock requirements are met.
- Working with the Simulator Engineering Manager to ensure all SIM approvals/evaluations are completed to the highest possible standards.
- Ensuring all work completed and documentation is in accordance with the Compliance Manual.
- 4-6+ Years working as a Sim Engineer and/or completion of a CAE training course.
- Experience working with and corresponding with regulatory authorities including reporting on issues raised during evaluations.
- Proven track record of maintaining the FSTD’s as per the CS-FSTD (A) Issue 2 standards.
- A background in aviation/flight simulation
