THE ROLE
Reporting into the Head of Communications, we are looking to hire a Senior Graphic Designer as a fixed‑term maternity cover contract for 6–9 months, with the possibility for extension, ideally beginning April 2026.
The Senior Graphic Designer will play a critical role in visually communicating IP Group’s mission, portfolio, and performance. Above all, this person must have an exceptional ability to take complex ideas (often technical, scientific, or financial) and translate them into clear, compelling, highly polished visual materials, particularly PowerPoint presentations for a wide range of stakeholders, including shareholders and potential investors.
This role requires deep curiosity about the sectors in which we invest, strong visual storytelling skills, and confidence working with data‑rich, detail‑heavy content. This is an interesting, unique and varied role for a strong Graphic Designer, who may also have experience some internal or external communications or copy writing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PowerPoint & Presentation Design – Create high‑impact presentations that translate complex scientific, technological, and financial concepts into simple, visually coherent narratives.
Data Visualisation – Design intuitive, accurate and engaging charts, graphs, and infographics that make complex data provided by other departments easy to understand.
Document Design – Produce visually consistent and professional materials including reports, templates, summary sheets, business cards, and branded collateral.
Event Materials – Develop creative assets such as invites, backdrops, menus, bespoke graphics and marketing materials to support internal and external events.
Content Design
Brand Stewardship – Maintain and champion visual identity standards across all formats and touchpoints.
Depending on experience and interest, the role can also include:
Social Media – Support LinkedIn and X channels with visual content.
Website (CMS) – Assist in keeping the Group’s website up to date with relevant imagery and visual content.
Intranet – Upload visual content, videos and news.
Newsletter (Mailchimp) – Contribute visuals to internal and portfolio newsletters.

Expected salary of between £50,000 and £65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. A generous pension and benefits package is included. We would also be open to discussing part-time hours for this role.
