Description

Synechron is looking for an experienced Java developer looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative global bank. The role will work closely with product owners, developers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality, timely solutions that support critical business applications within.


You will be working on an internal client intelligence platform that consolidates a wide range of internal and external data sources. The project operates on a rapid development cycle, with new features being released daily, and aims to provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making and client relationship management.


Role:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications
  • Deliver new functionality and features on a daily release cadence
  • Participate in agile and scrum methodologies to ensure continuous improvement and rapid delivery
  • Design, query, and optimise database systems including SQL Server, MongoDB, and Snowflake
  • Implement and maintain automated testing, CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, and GIT
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture, object-oriented analysis, design, and programming
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and coordinate with global delivery teams

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience with core Java development and Spring Boot framework - x8 to 10+ years
    • Hands-on experience with integration technologies such as MQ, XML, SOAP, and JSON
    • Strong database management skills, including designing and querying SQL and NoSQL databases
    • Experience with unit and integration testing
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools
    • Solid understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and object-oriented programming
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Experience working in a global delivery environment
    • Prior experience in investment banking or financial services is a plus


    Location and Working Hours:

    This hybrid role requires weekly in-office presence in London (City), with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. Flexibility is needed for key meetings.
