We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to help provide reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment at our Heywood site.

The Role
In this role, you will:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship while actively supporting and developing our existing team.
- Deputise for the Engineering Manager as required.
- Oversee contractor control, ensuring all contractors are inducted, supervised, and compliant with site safety standards, permits, and operational requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment failures across mechanical and electrical systems—including cranes, conveyors, refrigeration, and plant utilities—identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
- Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC, or equivalent), with some mechanical knowledge.
- Proven hands-on maintenance experience, ideally including refrigeration and mobile racking.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, health & safety legislation, and maintenance best practices.
