We are seeking an experienced
Senior Paediatric Audiologist to join our Paediatric Audiology Service, supporting children and families across North West London.
The service delivers comprehensive paediatric audiology care, including assessment of babies referred through the
Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, behavioural and objective hearing assessments for children of all ages, and the habilitation of children with hearing loss. We also provide a specialist
Bone Conduction Hearing Implant (BCHI) service. The Paediatric Audiology Service works closely alongside Adult Audiology Services and the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme to ensure seamless care.
The department is an accredited
Scientist Training Programme (STP) training centre with the National School of Healthcare Science. The post holder will act as a
Training Officer, providing clinical supervision, training and mentoring to STP trainees and junior staff, and will be expected to maintain ongoing professional development.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive, caring and patient‑centred approach, with the ability to remain calm, organised and adaptable in a busy clinical environment. You will contribute to the continued development and delivery of a high‑quality service.

- To provide a diagnostic service for the Paediatric Audiology Department both on the hospital site and in the community, performing diagnostic Audiological assessment mainly on neonates and children. To include children with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and additional disabilities or special needs.
- To provide aural habilitation for babies and children which includes providing counselling to distressed parents/guardians about their children’s hearing loss and associated problems, and to have the ability to make decisions about the most appropriate course of treatment for the patient in their care.
