We are seeking a Senior/Principal Offshore Structural Engineer with specialist knowledge of concrete and hybrid offshore foundation structures to join our Civil & Structures team. As part of the wider central engineering function, you will support the RWE Offshore Wind business across all stages of the project lifecycle—from early development through design, construction, and operations. We are seeking a Senior/Principal Offshore Structural Engineer with specialist knowledge of concrete and hybrid offshore foundation structures to join our Civil & Structures team. As part of the wider central engineering function, you will support the RWE Offshore Wind business across all stages of the project lifecycle—from early development through design, construction, and operations. We work every day to build a renewable future, continually raising the bar and shaping industry standards.
About The Role
- Manage structural engineering activities for concrete and hybrid offshore foundations across pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, and through fabrication and installation
- Develop and enhance design processes, Employer’s Requirements, and best-practice procedures for concrete substructures
- Provide technical leadership in contractor selection, design verification, design reviews, and supplier documentation assessments
- Promote cost optimisation, innovation, and technology development to improve foundation performance and reduce LCoE
- Degree in civil or structural engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Extensive experience in offshore structural engineering—ideally involving gravity-based structures, monopiles, or jackets
- Project management experience in offshore design, construction, or operations
- Solid technical skills in concrete and structural design, relevant standards, and verification processes
- Demonstrated experience managing third‑party designers and engineering service providers
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional status
- Knowledge of quality management, procurement processes, and offshore installation/operations
