Description

Senior Programme Manager



As a key member of the newly formed PMO team, this role provides programme management leadership and expertise to deliver significant business change programmes aligned with company objectives. The position is responsible for leading large, cross-functional teams and managing multi-million-pound budgets to ensure successful programme delivery and the realisation of strategic business outcomes.


The role requires regular engagement with senior internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring effective governance, communication, and decision-making throughout programme lifecycles.


In addition, the role contributes to Group-wide strategic initiatives and supports commercial teams in the evaluation of new business opportunities. This includes developing mutually beneficial relationships with customers and suppliers, providing programme management insight during bid, mobilisation, and delivery phases, and helping to shape commercially viable and operationally successful solutions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the delivery of complex, high-value business change programmes in line with corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain effective programme governance, controls, risk management, and reporting frameworks
  • Manage multi-million-pound programme budgets, ensuring financial control and value realisation.
  • Lead and coordinate large cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across the business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Support the development and execution of Group strategic initiatives and transformation activities.
  • Partner with commercial teams to assess new business opportunities, providing programme delivery expertise and implementation guidance.
  • Contribute to business case development, mobilisation planning, and transition into operational delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in programme management standards, methodologies, and PMO capability.
