The Senior Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving quality standards within the industrial manufacturing sector. Based in the Fife area, this position requires a focus on ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement in all quality-related processes.

Description

  • Oversee and manage quality control processes across engineering and manufacturing projects.
  • Review and overhaul current quality documentation (procedures, work instructions, forms, ITPs, quality plans, checklists, and records)
  • Deploy practical QC gates from incoming inspection through assembly, stripdown, repair, assembly, test, and final release.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement solutions.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
  • Support training efforts to promote a culture of quality within the organisation.
  • Profile

    A successful Senior Quality Engineer should have:

    • A strong background in quality engineering within the industrial manufacturing industry.
    • Proven experience in quality control, audits, and process improvement.
    • Solid knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • A results-driven approach with attention to detail.
