Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor - Residential
Residential Sector | Up to £75,000 + Benefits
London (Hybrid – 2 days WFH)
We’re representing an independent cost and project management consultancy recognised for its deep specialism in the residential sector. Established over ten years ago, the business has built a strong reputation delivering Build to Rent, student accommodation and mixed-use schemes for some of the UK’s most prominent developers and funds.
The consultancy continues to grow steadily, with a team of around 100 people and excellent market coverage across London, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh. While residential remains at the core of their work, they’re now expanding into hotels, commercial and leisure projects — creating excellent scope for progression and variety.
The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Cost Management team in London.
This role would suit someone with 3–8 years’ experience gained in a cost consultancy or contracting environment who’s looking to take the next step. Chartership is not essential; they provide strong APC mentoring and leadership training.
You’ll work closely with clients and directors, delivering sector-defining projects, fast-paced projects and gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle. Candidates from smaller PQS firms or those with a strong commercial mindset are particularly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Manage cost planning, estimating and procurement across multiple live projects.
- Work with major UK developers and funds in the BTR, PBSA, and residential sectors.
- Support and mentor assistants through their APC where relevant.
- Act as an Employer’s Agent on select schemes.
- Contribute to client and team development initiatives.
