Senior Sales Engineer – Security Operations (SIEM / MDR / Automation)

Location: UK (Remote with travel)

Department: Sales

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to support the growth of CybaVerse by acting as the technical authority during the sales process.

You will work directly with sales and leadership, channel partners and customers to demonstrate how the CybaVerse platform solves real security operations challenges including threat detection, incident response, automation and compliance.

This role combines deep cybersecurity expertise with commercial awareness. You must be able to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value for CISOs, Heads of IT and MSP leaders.

You will lead technical discovery, architecture design, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements and technical validation during the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Pre-Sales

  • Lead technical discovery workshops with prospects
  • Design security operations architectures using CybaVerse
  • Map customer environments to platform capabilities
  • Produce technical solution proposals and architecture diagrams
  • Support RFP / security questionnaire responses

  • Product Demonstration & Value Engineering

    • Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases
    • Demonstrate detection, automation and incident response workflows
    • Translate technical features into operational outcomes (reduced MTTR, improved visibility, automation savings etc)
    • Quantify value and operational improvements

    Proof of Concept & Technical Validation

    • Lead proof-of-concept deployments
    • Integrate the platform with customer environments (EDR, cloud, identity, SIEM etc)
    • Validate detection and response workflows
    • Demonstrate automation capabilities and integrations

    Partner Enablement

    • Train MSP partners on how to position and sell the platform
    • Run technical enablement workshops
    • Support partner-led opportunities

    Product Feedback Loop

    • Provide feedback from customers to product and engineering teams
  • Help shape roadmap priorities based on market demand
  • Identify new integrations or automation opportunities

  • Required Experience

    • Experienced in cyber security engineering or security architecture
    • Experienced in pre-sales or technical consulting roles
    • Experience deploying or consulting on:

    SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, Sentinel, Elastic, QRadar etc)

    MDR / SOC platforms

    SOAR / security automation

    Endpoint detection platforms

    Vulnerability Management

    • Strong understanding of:

    Detection engineering

    Incident response workflows

    Security operations processes

    MITRE ATT&CK framework

    Log ingestion and telemetry pipelines

    Technical Skills

    Strong knowledge of:

    • SIEM architectures and log pipelines
    • Security automation and orchestration
    • Endpoint detection and response
    • Vulnerability Management
    • API integrations between security tools

    Nice To Have

    • Python or scripting for automation
  • Familiarity with APIs
  • Experience with automation / SIEM engineering

  • Soft Skills

    • Excellent communicator able to engage CISOs and technical teams
    • Ability to simplify complex security problems
    • Strong commercial mindset
    • Able to handle enterprise technical objections
    • Confident presenter and product demonstrator
