The opportunity
We are looking for a Scientific Director or Senior Scientific Director & Team Lead to lead a global account within Envision Medical Communications, predominantly focused on publications within rare disease and immunology.
You will oversee a talented team of medical writers, providing strategic scientific direction, guiding publications and emerging medical communications activities, collaborating, and mentoring to deliver high-quality, impactful content for a demanding, scientifically rigorous European-based client, while working closely with experienced Scientific and Account Management counterparts.

Role responsibilities
- In collaboration with both Scientific and Account Management counterparts, provide overarching scientific, strategic, and tactical leadership for the assigned account.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders and engage in discussions of science and strategy with both clients and external experts.
- Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas, client and competitor products, and industry regulations.
- Create high-quality, scientifically accurate, and compliant content to meet client briefs across a variety of project types.
- Contribute to scientific strategy development and recommend communication approaches for optimal support of the client's objectives.
Do you have what we are looking for?
Skills & expertise
- An advanced degree (or equivalent relevant experience) in a life sciences or clinical discipline
- Extensive experience within a medical communications agency is required, preferably at a global level
- Experience with a range of publications and medcomms deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and mentor a team of direct reports, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment
- Experience managing multiple projects, with the ability to flex and adapt to changing priorities, as required
- Ability to think strategically, solve challenges and utilize resources available
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
