Senior Security Evaluator – High‑Assurance Lab (Succession Hire)
Location: Hybrid, England
NCC Group is strengthening its high‑assurance evaluation capability and is opening a succession position for an experienced Lab Evaluator to join a long‑established, highly specialised team working across formal product assurance schemes.
This hire is part of a planned generational build‑out. The team is stable, long‑standing, and heavily utilised, and we are now bringing in the next evaluator who will take on significant evaluation responsibility and contribute directly to high‑assurance work across the UK market.
We are looking for someone who already understands structured product evaluation and wants to deepen their expertise within a mature lab environment.
What you will be doing
• Leading and contributing to evaluations of security products and solutions against formal and well‑defined criteria.
• Reviewing and challenging technical documentation, evidence packs, and test results with confidence and precision.
• Running structured, repeatable testing within established methodologies and assurance frameworks.
• Producing clear, defensible technical evaluation reports.
• Working alongside some of the most experienced evaluators in the UK and progressing into higher‑complexity evaluations over time.
What we’re looking for
You are already operating as a Lab Evaluator or performing equivalent structured evaluation work and bring:
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Logical, evidence‑based thinking, with the ability to challenge inconsistencies.
• High attention to detail and comfort working in a precise, repeatable environment.
• The ability to absorb technical material, assess risk, and extract key issues quickly.
• Professional curiosity and an independent working style.
Backgrounds that tend to transfer well include:
• CAS, CPA, CTAS, CC, or similar high‑assurance product evaluation.
• ISO 17025, ISO 27001, or structured QA/validation environments.
• Functional or acceptance testing within formal methodologies.
• Assurance, GRC, or security analysis with strong documentation and assessment skills.
Why join this team
• This is a succession role, not attrition. You are stepping into a strong, stable, established function.
• You will work directly with some of the longest‑standing high‑assurance specialists in the UK.
• NCC provides full support for certifications and exams relevant to the evaluation discipline.
• You will have a clear, structured development environment with opportunities to take on increasingly complex evaluations.
• Flexible working and access to NCC Group’s wider benefits and professional development programmes.
If you are an experienced evaluator looking for a stable, expert‑led environment and the opportunity to take on critical high‑assurance work, we would like to speak with you.
