Description

Main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a £120M new build RC Frame residential development in East London. The project is due to break ground in May, so you will be overseeing the project from inception to completion.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior role on a large-scale scheme, reporting directly to the Project Manager and playing a key part in driving the project through its delivery phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day site activities to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Report directly to the Project Manager, supporting the overall delivery of the £120M residential scheme.
  • Manage key packages and coordinate subcontractors across the RC frame and build stages of the project.
  • Lead and support the site team, ensuring all works are carried out in line with programme requirements, construction standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring works are completed to programme and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively to prevent delays and maintain project momentum.
  • Maintain strong communication with the wider project team, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate site reporting, including progress updates, programme tracking, and issue management.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across site, ensuring full compliance with company and regulatory health & safety procedures.

  • Qualifications & Experience

    • Trade background with additional qualifications in construction or site management preferred.
    • Proven experience delivering new build residential projects, ideally with RC frame construction.
    • Experience working for a main contractor on large-scale schemes.
    • SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS Card required.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage site teams and multiple subcontractors effectively.
    • Excellent understanding of health & safety policies and site compliance.
    • Proficient in MS Office, Procore, and construction management software.
