Senior Software Developer
Location: Derby On-site (5 days a week)
Salary: Up to £75k
Contract: Permanent
A Senior Software Developer is required to join a delivery-focused Service Team working for a global name, maintaining and evolving live software systems that support client solutions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role, ideal for someone with 3+ years’ commercial experience who enjoys working on production systems and delivering improvements that directly impact clients. Candidates must have or be eligible for SC clearance.
Role Highlights
- Maintain, enhance and deploy production applications using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Develop new features, improvements, and integrations based on client feedback, service metrics, or evolving requirements
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve live system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to clients
- Participate in agile delivery, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and service review meetings
- Collaborate directly with client stakeholders, engineers, and analysts, presenting technical updates clearly and professionally
