About us
Information Services Division (ISD) is the primary provider of IT services to UCL. We support and enhance learning, teaching, research and administrative processes by providing information- and technology-related services to over 50,000 staff and students of UCL and associated institutions.
Our goal is to be the leading IT services group in the HE sector and we are growing our team's capability in experience/UX, agile development, security, cloud, service management and partnering. We are modernising our technology foundations, digitising the processes of the university to transform experience for students and staff, and partnering across the university to drive differentiation in UCL education and research.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead (Dynamics 365 CRM/CE) to provide expert leadership in the design and delivery of UCL's CRM and Power Platform solutions. This is a key technical role within our CRM Platform team, helping to shape the future of how UCL manages relationships and delivers exceptional experiences for our student, applicant and partner communities.
Working as part of a cross-functional agile team, you will take ownership of designing and implementing enterprise-grade solutions using Dynamics 365 CRM/CE and the Power Platform. You will collaborate with product owners, developers, analysts and stakeholders across the university to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet UCL's business needs.
You will lead the technical roadmap for the platform, ensuring that developments align with UCL's enterprise architecture standards. You'll take responsibility for DevOps practices, including release automation, source control, testing and operational support. You'll also contribute to service improvements, ensuring the reliability, performance and data quality of our CRM systems.
About you
You will be an experienced Dynamics 365 CRM/CE and Power Platform professional with a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise solutions. You'll have strong technical expertise across Dataverse, C#, and JavaScript/TypeScript, and an excellent understanding of CRM integrations, Power Pages, and portal development.
You will bring deep technical knowledge of Dynamics 365 architecture, solution design and development standards, with experience in DevOps, automated testing and release management using tools such as GitHub and PAC CLI. A strong understanding of Azure and cloud technologies will also be highly valued.
You'll be a confident communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Experience leading teams, mentoring others, and managing operational support will help you thrive in this role.
Experience of working with Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Marketing modules is essential, as is substantial experience working with Power Platform components. A degree in computer science or a related discipline-or equivalent professional experience-is expected.
You'll be motivated by technical excellence and collaboration, with a proactive, solution-focused mindset. Above all, you'll be passionate about delivering high-quality digital services that enhance the experience of UCL's students and staff.
