Senior Technical Specialist
Harpenden or London | Hybrid
Plowman Craven is looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to help strengthen technical standards and best practice across our surveying operations. This role is ideal for a highly experienced surveyor who wants to shape technical standards, support complex projects and influence surveying methodology across the business.
We are a recognised leader in Geospatial Technologies, delivering high precision data solutions that support major developers, contractors and engineering firms across the built environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as a technical authority for total station and GNSS surveying methodologies
- Supporting project teams on complex or high risk surveying activities
- Reviewing survey methodologies and outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Driving improvements in survey data processing workflows
- Providing guidance on software including N4CE, SCC and Leica Infinity
- Supporting technical discussions with clients where survey accuracy is critical
- Promoting knowledge sharing and best practice across teams
We’d like to hear from you if you have:
- Significant experience in pure surveying methodologies
- Experience working on major engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong experience with total station and GNSS surveying
- Solid knowledge of survey data capture, processing and QA processes
- Chartered status or working towards RICS or CICES
