Service Delivery Manager-Aircraft Cleaning Services

Contract: Permanent

Location: Manchester Airport

Schedule:1800 - 0600, 4-on-4-off.

Are you ready to take charge of a dynamic and crucial role in the aviation industry? Look no further! At Swissport, we’re seeking a dedicated Airport Team Manager for a Aircraft Cleaning Department to lead our Western Europe Station Structures. As a key operational leader, you’ll report directly to the Swissport Station Manager or Head of Department.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do: In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all aspects of operational delivery at the airport.
  • Ensuring that our team meets customer airline targets while adhering to company procedures, policies, and brand values.
  • Striving for safe, profitable, and high-quality operations aligned with customer expectations and corporate objectives.
  • Providing direction to a diverse workforce.
  • Ensuring day-to-day excellence across the Swissport Team at the station.
  • Demonstrating skills in leading change, applying commercial acumen, coaching and developing others, making informed decisions, managing performance, and executing results.

  • Safety Leadership:

    • Ensure compliance with company rules, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
    • Implement consistent people management practices across the station.
    • Monitor the local emergency plan.
    • Use active supervision to positively influence employee behavior and foster a strong culture.

    P&L Management:

    • Meet labour-to-revenue targets as per station requirements.
    • Optimize profits and maintain effective cost control.
    • Manage attendance and absenteeism in line with cost control measures.

    Leadership and Stakeholder Management:

    • Establish strong leadership with supervisory staff through excellent communication.
    • Handle project management and change management.
    • Resolve conflicts and irregularities promptly.
    • Build relationships with Trade Union Representatives or employee representatives.

    Quality Focus and Operational Efficiency:

    • Efficiently plan resources (manpower and equipment) in collaboration with the planning department.
    • Monitor and control performance KPIs related to airside activities.
    • Maintain administrative and control policies and procedures.

    Business Growth and Strategy:

    • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to maximize business potential.
    • Challenge operational norms to improve performance and drive growth.
    • Enhance customer relationships and align new business opportunities with station objectives.

    Qualifications

    • Previous cleaning or aviation experience is essential.
    • You will have the ability to accept and embrace change as a constant and unpredictable feature of your working environment.
    • Be a leader who sets the tone and leads by example.
    • Can communicate clearly with your people to help them understand Swissport Western Europe direction.
    • Be able to build positive and trusting relationships.
    • Be open to different opinions and seek a collaborative approach.
