Purpose

Responsible for the implementation and daily operational service delivery of the service working closely with various stakeholders, including local Council leads and Care leavers team, Health and Well-being Leads, CYP (Children and Young People) Leads, Foundation Support, External Evaluators, and WLA Internal Teams, to ensure the effective management, monitoring, and evaluation of the project.

This is an exciting innovation service funded by the Shaw Trust Foundation to design and test a new approach in helping care leavers improve their resilience, employment, education and skills outcomes. You will work closely with the innovation team, sharing learnings that can be used to inform other interventions to support young people into employment and will be training and overseeing a new team of advisers who will combine resilience and ETE support.

As a key driver of this new project, you will take ownership of its operational implementation, ensuring a seamless rollout. Beyond launch, you will be instrumental in shaping and refining the service, actively developing its potential and evaluating its impact to drive success and growth.

Combining vision and direction whilst providing skilful and proactive relationship management, ensuring positive and productive relationships are established and maintained and facilitating best practice and continuous improvement.

You will be leading a small team of specialists to deliver a targeted service to support young people explore potential career paths and educational opportunities, considering their personal preferences. You will support recruitment and provide training, mentoring, supervision, to promote quality services with the aim of meeting targeted referrals, engagements, and outcomes, whilst working closely with the Local Authority to ensure that the service evolves to reflect the needs of the young people it is targeted to support.
