We are currently looking for a Shift Controller to join our operations team in Gloucester.

Shift Pattern Available: 4 on 4 off Nights 18:00-06:00

Salary: Competitive Starting Salary

What You’ll Do

As a Shift Controller at our Gloucester facility, you will:

  • Lead, support, and coordinate the shift team with professionalism.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate inbound and outbound stock flow.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations to maintain service and productivity standards.
  • Monitor WMS, resolve anomalies, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Monitor and manager employee holidays, absence, and basic performance management.
  • Allocate workloads effectively and support resource planning.
  • Communicate clearly with Operators, Planners, Engineers, and Client Liaison teams.
  • Liaise professionally with customers and transport partners to resolve issues.
  • Lead structured shift handovers to maintain continuity.
  • Promote and maintain strong Health & Safety standards.
  • Support training and development of employees.

  • What We’re Looking For

    • Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally with exposure to WMS and stock flow processes.
    • Strong people‑management skills with proven experience leading teams in an operational setting.
    • A proactive, confident approach with the ability to coach, motivate, and support colleagues.
    • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain strong relationships with partners and customers.
    • Commitment to Health & Safety and continuous improvement.
    • Good attention to detail and ability to remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
