Brief Description

💼 The Opportunity: Shift Station Manager

Location : 1 x St Pancras & 1 x Stratford International

Contract : Full Time Permanent

Shifts : Days, Nights, Weekends, unsocial hours

Recruitment Process: Assessment Centre – 14 th & 15 th April 2026 – If successful you must be able to attend this date.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in one of the most dynamic and high-profile transport environments in the UK. As a Shift Station Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our stations. You will be the face of leadership on the ground—guiding your team, managing complex situations, and ensuring that every passenger receives the highest standard of service.

🔐 Please note: Due to the sensitive nature of this role, all applicants must be able to successfully obtain security vetting clearance. This includes providing a complete and verifiable 3-year UK address history with no gaps. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of this clearance process.

🎯 Your Key Responsibilities

As a Shift Station Manager, your role will be both operational and strategic. You will be responsible for leading a team, managing station activities, and ensuring that safety, service, and performance standards are consistently met. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • 🧭 Leading with Purpose and Integrity Provide clear, confident, and compassionate leadership to your team. Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement. Support team members in their development and ensure they have the tools and guidance needed to succeed.
  • 🚨 Managing Incidents and Emergencies with Confidence Act as the primary point of contact during operational incidents, emergencies, and security situations. Coordinate responses, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure that safety remains the top priority at all times.
  • 🤝 Collaborating Across the Network Build strong working relationships with train operating companies, retail partners, contractors, and other stakeholders. Work together to ensure that station operations run smoothly and that customer needs are met with professionalism and care.
  • 🛡 ️ Championing Safety, Accessibility, and Compliance Ensure that all station activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and accessibility regulations. Promote a proactive safety culture and take swift action to address any risks or concerns.
  • 🔧 Driving Operational Excellence and Innovation Identify opportunities to improve station performance, enhance the customer experience, and streamline processes. Contribute to strategic planning and help shape the future direction of our stations.

    What can we offer you in return?

    We follow a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range:

    Salary: £ 47,098.00 per annum. + Inner London Allowance
